Introduction to Business
Reflection
The topic that I liked the most was chapter 5. This topic explains the employees behavior and motivation while working. I find this topic interesting because I can learn and relate to the content as i am learning. the topic that I liked least would be chapter 1. It is an introduction of business and the reason why I favor this topic lesser is because i think it is too long. i think the topic should be broken into parts. Nonetheless i find every topic to be very useful as i can apply the theories that i have learned in this subject in my everyday life. for example in Chapter 5 i learned about the "BIG 5" and i find it useful because i can apply that concept when i go for interviews in the future.
Class Activity
In this class activity we were assigned to pick a business and pretend that we own the business. After that we had to plan the employee organizational chart. The Organizational chart had to have connection with out business. My group chose the restaurant business and named it "Anything Restaurant" because we sell anything and everything. It was interesting as i also got to learn about the organizational chart in a restaurant business while carrying out this class activity.
Charity Drive Project
For this assignment we were assigned to conduct a charity drive project. All the profit that we earned has been donated to 'Rumah KIDS'. We were assigned to carry out a business to prove out capability on carrying out and managing a business. As for out business, we sold many things like key-chains, pants, parios, and tarts. It was indeed a challenging assignment but we managed to pull through and earn a profit of RM2026 that was then donated to the orphanage home.
