Introduction to Law

 

Law is a very interesting subject. Besides being interesting it is also an important subject that would come in handy in our future. With the knowledge of law we could use it to protect ourselves from being sued and also learn to sue others if we have the right to. Because we are not majoring as a lawyer, we are only learning the very basic of the construction law. That is why we only learn about contract law and tort in this subject.
Contract law is very useful as in the future, as a quantity surveyor; we will be dealing with a lot of contracts. With the knowledge about contract law, we can learn to be diligent enough to protect ourselves from being sued.
Tort law however is also useful as when there is an absence of a contractual relationship we could still claim for damages.
In the construction industry many problems may occur and only law can solve and bring justice and peace to the problems arise. That is why the knowledge that I have gained form this subject is very useful for the profession that I am pursuing in the future.
