Research Methodology

 

Introduction

This subject is just a guideline for us to conduct our dissertation. It gives us a clearer view on how to choose a dissrtaion topic and how to go about it from there. The subject was taught by Dr Kam where he guided un in choosing our topic. We were then assigned to our supervisor based on the topic we chose. Based on my topic i was assigned to Ms Lim Tze Shwan. In our dissertation we have a total of 5 chapters to complete. However for this semester under this subject, we are required to complete 2 of the 5 chapters which are chapter 1 and chapter 2.

 

Chapter 1

For this chapter we had to draw up a proposal on the dissertation topic. My topic was the employers' and graduate's perspective on the employablity and graduate capabilities in the construction industry. For this chapter we had to write on the background study, research questions, objective of study, scope of study and design of study.

 

Chapter 2

​

Chapter 2 was technically literature review. In this chapter we were  suppose to elaborate  more on the topic based on past research work. literatures like journals articles and news had to be looked up and read from sources like the Taylors Library and Google Scholar. Keypoints of the dissertation was defined and elaborated for further undertanding of the entire study.
