Measurement 3

 

Introduction

In Measurement 3, we learn to measure and create the Bills of Quantities of a few new elements in the construction industry. Some of which are, doors, windows, roof structures, gates, seeding and turfing. this subject also lets us appreciate the significance of Tender Document preparation and the importance of the ability to work 

effectively with other within the context of a team. From this subject we learn to recognise, distinguish, evaluate, produce and generate measurements of the elements taught thoughout the whole semester.

 

Assignment 1

The assignment this semseter was measure and produce a complete Bills of Quatities of onlyl doors and windows of a building. our task was to pick a building and get the measurements of all the different types of doors and windows. It was tedious as most doors and windows comes in various types and sizes. We were grouped in groups of 5 so that the work load isn't that heavy. Nonetheless, everyone participated in conducting this assignment together. We picked a terrace house consisting of 5 doors and 10 windows. With proper guidance from our dedicated lecturer, the assignment was done and completed with ease.
