Reflection
The topic that I liked the most in this subject is topic 7 where is it about market competition. I like it because I get to know the types of competition that is in the market world and also the barriers to entry in starting a business today. All of the topics that i have learned if great. It adds on a lot on my knowledge in the business world. The topic I find very useful is again topic 7. This is because I can understand more and differentiate the types of competition in the market whether is it a monopoly,oligopoly, monopolistic competition or perfect competition. Besides that the types of barrier to entry can be very useful to me as if I were to start a business in the future it could help me to see and overcome the problems that I might face. Overall economics changed the way I look at business and out everyday life.
Final Group Project
For the final group project we were assigned to carry out an analysis about businesses today. The assignment was to find a business from Penang and Klang Valley each. Interviews were then carried out on these two business. My group consist of three people, me, Edwin and Jian Yuen. We decided to analyse on the food and beverage business. The restaurant that we chose to compare on is Who's Bryan in Penang and Italiannies in the Klang Valley. It was a great experience as we got to conduct interviews face to face. I believe we also learnt a lot about the food and beverage business today. It was indeed an interesting project to work on. The report of our assignment could be found at the bottom of the page.
